60 fun questions for couples

These are light, everyday questions about your day, your habits and the small things you love about each other. They work over dinner, on a walk or by text. Pick one a day and see how well you know each other.

How to play

  1. Answer on your own

Pick a question. You each answer without seeing the other's answer. Write it down or keep it in your head.

  2. Guess your partner's answer

Before you share, guess what your partner said. On pick-one questions, guess which option they chose.

  3. Reveal together

Share both answers at the same time. See who guessed right, then talk about why.

Duotone's Play tab works the same way. You each answer on your own phone, guess your partner's pick, and see both answers once you've both answered.

Frequently asked questions

What are good fun questions to ask your partner?

Good ones are small and specific. Ask about today, not your whole life: the best part of your day, a song for right now, who texts first. Small questions are easy to answer, and they often lead to longer talks.

How many questions should we answer at once?

One a day is enough. A single question keeps it light and gives you something to talk about later. On a road trip or a long dinner, play a few in a row.

Do these work for new couples?

Yes. Most of them work from the first few dates, like your first impression of each other or a place you'd love to show them. Skip the ones that need more shared history and come back to them later.

Can we play these in Duotone?

Yes. Duotone gives you both one free question a day, and these fun questions are part of that daily mix. You each answer on your own, then reveal together.
